I would like to introduce you to my janitorial company-Thoro Clean. TC specializes in detail cleaning and floor refinishing. I was brought up in a hard-working, Italian family with an incredible work-ethic. Therefore, I built my company the only way I knew how to: with pride and integrity; not to mention some of the best people this area has to offer.
My name is Deb Torreso and I am in my twentieth year of operating my janitorial business. Like many career choices, I found myself in a transitional period twenty-years ago in which my options were limited, so a friend and I decided to clean offices until something else came up. Not only did I not have a business degree, but I had absolutely no experience in anything remotely resembling owning and operating a business of any kind. I just showed up for work everyday and gave it two-hundred percent. Before I knew it, people were hearing about these two girls who went above and beyond anyone’s expectations, and started calling us for bids. My partner left shortly after because she felt the pressure of trying to keep up with a very competitive industry, but I was on a role and no one was going to stop me.
The good thing about a reputable business is that-It will grow-have no doubt about it. For as much glory as there is in that, if you aren’t prepared you can easily fail. I knew I couldn’t clone myself so I had two choices: stay small or hire help. I don’t know many business owners who would choose to stay small, though I wouldn’t blame them if they did. My choice was to grow.
That’s when the adventure really began. I won’t bore you with the trials and tribulations of finding and hiring good, honest, hard-working people with an old-fashioned work-ethic, but suffice it to say, it’s not as easy as it used to be, yet I still manage to find plenty.
It’s difficult to offer the best service at the lowest rates possible, pay the best people you can find all you can afford, and still offer many perks to separate your company from the rest.
I am thankful to say, I seem to have found the formula.
I would be honored to offer you a no-obligation bid for cleaning your facility.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Sincerely,
Deb Torreso
